I was injured at work. What Workers' Compensation benefits am I entited to?

No upfront legal fees or medical expenses. Our firm works based off of our contingency fee basis which means that our firm only gets paid if we recover money for you. Medical bills are covered under the workers’ compensation insurance company, assuming they accept the claim.

I'm missing time from work as a result of this work injury. How often do I get my Workers' Compensation checks?

Injured workers’ losing time from work will receive workers’ compensation checks every two weeks on a day in which the insurance company selects. For your convenience, you can opt for direct deposits.

Can my employer terminate me if I file a Workers' Compensation claim?

It is illegal for an employer to terminate an employee for reporting a workers’ compensation claim. If your employer terminates, discriminates, or demotes you after a work injury after your report of injury, you are entitled to a 50% increase in your benefits.

The workplace injury was partially my fault. Can I still qualify under Workers' Compensation benefits?

In New York State, Workers’ Compensation is a no-fault system. In other words, you are entitled to benefits even if the injury was your fault.
